About me
I am Adelaide Murphy and I am a first-year biology major at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill from Asheville, North Carolina. I intend to do clinical research with Type One Diabetes, and to focus on forensic studies!
I plan to pursue clinical research on Type One Diabetes and focus on forensic science, with the long-term goal of becoming a medical examiner. To build a broader foundation, I’m exploring medical anthropology, forensic anthropology, history, and English.
I currently work as an Event EMT with Buncombe County Rescue Squad, serving as a medic for concerts in downtown Asheville. I hope to get involved with UNC student EMS as well as SORS on campus!
Outside of academics I love to play music. I am a part of the Carolina Bluegrass Band as well as my own band Tiny Cowboy. I also love reading, especially dystopian fiction and non-fiction.
